The Underflow Podcast – Episode 18 – Tongo Eisen-Martin – Uniting In Revolution with award-winning poet, writer, and musician Tongo Eisen-Martin, the 8th Poet of San Fransisco discusses his move from California to Detroit, sharing the joy of his baby daughter, and the necessary politicization of all peoples in our current times so we can unite in a shared struggle. Eisen-Martin shares his story of educating in prisons, detention centers, and public libraries, as well as his new collaboration album "Traveling Shoes" which features poetry from his two ground-breaking City Lights Books collections: "Heaven Is All Goodbyes" and "Blood On The Fog" and a dazzling array of musicians including keyboardist / pianist / synth master Davani Rhodes and the "samurai who never misses" vocalist Vadia, as well as Tongo's legendary contemporary poet, Saul Williams.
